The Listing Rules govern the listing of a company and its quotation of securities, continuous and periodic disclosure and some aspects of a listed company’s conduct.
There are currently two versions of the ASX CGG's that may be applicable to your company. The ASX CGG's 1st Edition were published in March 2003. The ASX CGG's 2nd Edition were published in August 2007. A change in reporting requirements applies to a company's first financial year commencing on or after 1 January 2008. Accordingly, where a company's financial year begins on 1 January 2008 disclosure against ASX CGG's 2nd Edition will be required to be made in the annual report published in 2009 relating to the financial year from 1 January to 31 December 2008.
Although ASX entities are not required to report against the 2nd Edition guidelines with respect to the 1 July 2007 - 30 June 2008 financial year the ASX Corporate Governance Council encourages companies to make an early transition and companies are requested to consider reporting by reference to the 2nd Edition guidelines for this reporting year.
